Hi, I'm Sam! Welcome to my site; where I hope all of the crazy ideas I have floating around in my head will finally come to life. I chose Wheat and Wanderlust as the name years ago when I began a public instagram account to document my love for food and travel. My account focus shifted a bit to home renovations and interior design when my husband, Tim and I began renovating our home
I'm a school social worker by day and aspiring instagram influencer, interior designer, DIYer, foodie, world traveler and small business owner any other time. My goal is to build a brand that focuses on all of the things I am passionate about but also has room to grow with me as those passions evolve. I hope you stick around to see where this crazy thing called life takes me. I'm so happy you are here!
The Allens
I'd like to introduce you to my husband, Tim. The man behind all of our home renovations and travel plans.
He is a mechanical engineer who can do just about anything you ask him to. He's the smartest and funniest person I know. Not to mention the most patient for putting up with me all the time. You will most likely hear me talk a lot about him but he's pretty shy so you won't see or hear much from him. However, I am hoping to feature him every once in awhile.
We are polar opposites but after a fight we both apologize by bringing each other food. We believe the key ingredients to a great marriage is communication, honesty and laughter.
Huck & Axel
While we wait to have our own child, we are content with our two fur pups. Axel is a Maltese Chihuahua mix born on January 18th, 2013. He is my first baby and a spoiled grouchy old man. In 2016 Tim and I got Huck together. Huck is a St Bernard born on July 24th, 2016. He is our sweet, lovable and sensitive baby.
